Hello, my name is Xang Vang and welcome to my efolio!

This site was designed for career purposes and as a way to present my skills along with what I have done as an art educator. I graduated from St.Olaf College in 2008 and although I have many interests, my background was in Studio Arts and Education.

Education had always been highly valued in my family. As a young boy, my father monitored closely and always reminded me that in this country, education was the key to success. I have kept this phrase with me the past years of my life and even today I still turn back upon this line for strength, energy and determination.

I was born in Thailand and my family came to the United States in 1988 as war refugees. We came straight to Minnesota and had been here ever since. I grew up in North Minneapolis and graduated from North Community High School in 2004. After high school, I attended St.Olaf College, where I had most of my classroom experiences. This includes elementary, middle and high school experiences along with mentoring and volunteering.
